“A few years back, I developed a very itchy rash which I believed was a reaction to something I was eating. Around the same time, my husband was advised by his doctor to avoid wheat/gluten because he was having problems with congestion.
I searched book stores and the internet but was unable to find recipes, baking mixes or finished bakery products that were free of all the common food allergens and gluten. Any baking mixes or recipes that I could find were only gluten free or free of a few allergens and most resulted in baked goods that were not on par with traditional products. Because of my passion for baking and problem solving, I decided I would attempt to create some baking recipes of my own. I will tell you that creating great tasting baked goods that are free of gluten and all common food allergens is not an easy task. Imagine a tasty cake, pie crust, or cookie without any wheat, egg, dairy, soy or any of the other common food allergens.
My internet searches also made me aware of the growing number of people who have a food allergy, food intolerance or celiac disease. As with us, a person or family may have multiple food concerns with which to contend. I knew the dilemma our family had faced with this issue and decided that I would attempt to make my products available to others.”
